New West Yorkshire Probation Film.
Immedia have recently completed a new film for the West Yorkshire Probation Service, focusing on their Employer Engagement Scheme.
The scheme assesses the training and employment needs of offenders and works with employers to provide training and employment opportunites.
Statistics show that the stability of a job can reduce re-offending rates by up to 50%.
As part of this project, we were able to use our expertise to provide video and editing workshops
for a small group of offenders, who then went on to help in the production of the film; using cameras, sound and lighting equipment, conducting interviews of employers, offenders and probation staff, and producing a basic edit of the film.
Because of the sensitive nature of the film and to protect the identities of some of its participants, we are unable to show the film on-line.
